ANNUAL REPORT - 2017
Letter from the Board of Directors Chair
2017 marked 10 years of Keep Hutto Beautiful!
The Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation officially became a separate entity from the City of Hutto after the Commission was dissolved, allowing it to completely stand on its on. The organization was re-branded with a new logo and website. Today, KHBF is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit and one of over 400 Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates in the State. We are also proud partners of Take Care of Texas and Nature Rocks Austin.
After 12 years, the Annual Trash Off and Junk Round Up was be re-branded as the Great Hutto Cleanup and is now administered by the Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation.
The Peterson Community Garden, a historic piece of land in Hutto's Old Town neighborhood, is an authentic, living piece of Hutto's agricultural history. The Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation is restoring the space to include educational, region-specific gardening demonstrations. The first demonstration garden, a certified Monarch Waystation, opened in December 2017.
Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation’s mission is to inspire the community to be environmentally engaged by providing education, resources, green initiatives and beautification opportunities.
