HUTTO RECYCLING

The City offers weekly curbside recycling as a service for its citizens through the solid waste provider, Al Clawson Disposal, Inc. Recycling containers are provided to each resident by Clawson. 

Place recycle cart on curbside by 7:00 am on your scheduled trash pick up day. 
 

METAL - Aluminum, steel and tin cans and aluminum foil . (No food contamination, please rinse)

GLASS - Includes bottles and jars, clear, green, brown and blue glass. (Please rinse and remove lids)

PAPER - Newspaper, office paper, junk mail, phone books, brown paper bags, magazines, paperboard–cereal boxes and cardboard–flatten  (keep dry)

PLASTICS - (Please rinse and remove lids)

  #1 Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) – soft drink, water and other beverage bottles, detergent and cleaning containers , peanut  butter and other food containers and bottles

#2 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) milk and water jugs, laundry detergents and shampoo bottles

#3 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC or V) clear food packaging, cling wrap, detergents and window cleaner bottles, some plastic squeeze  bottles, cooking oil and peanut butter jars, shower curtains

#4 Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) bread wrappers, frozen food wrappers, most plastic wraps, some bottles

#5 Polypropylene (PP) deli soup, syrup, yogurt and margarine containers, clouded plastic containers, baby bottles and straws

#6Polystyrene (PS) CD cases, disposable cutlery, Styrofoam, food containers, packaging, egg cartons

#7 Mixed (Other) most plastic baby bottles, 5-gallon water bottles, “sport” water bottles, clear plastic “sippy” cups
 

Please rinse and remove lids on recyclable items. Soiled items can not be recycled. Flatten cardboard/paperboard to fit. Please keep all paper products dry.
