Why Support Keep Hutto Beautiful!

STATE RECOGNIZED

  • KHB is a Silver Star Affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful and part of a network of nearly 400 other affiliates throughout the State of Texas. In 2023 KHB was deemed nonprofit of the year. In both 2018 and 2019, KHB received 2nd Place in the Governor’s Community Achievement Awards and an Award of Excellence. KHB is a 501©(3) nonprofit registered with the State of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHED

  • KHB is an 17-year-old organization that has a long history of making an impact on the Hutto Community. The Hutto sign that welcomes residents and visitors to our city is thanks to a grant that Keep Hutto Beautiful won. The organization is also responsible for the adoption of the Orange Crush Daylily as the official flower of Hutto. We were the first voice to bring recycling to Hutto which started as a collection site at the City Hall. Yearly city-wide cleanups and junk round ups are also thanks to Keep Hutto Beautiful and our affiliation with Keep Texas Beautiful. As our programming continues to grow, so does our commitment to making a difference in Hutto.

VOLUNTEERISM

  • KHB provides multiple opportunities for businesses, families, organizations, and individuals to volunteer throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities include Adopt-A-Spot promoting litter prevention, adoption of plants/trees/beds at the local Peterson Community Garden, and waste reduction at the annual Great Hutto Cleanup & Junk Round Up.

PARTNERSHIPS

  • KHB is committed to creating strong and meaningful partnerships throughout the Hutto Community. Current partnerships include the City of Hutto, Hutto ISD, East Williamson County Higher Education Center, and Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as local businesses, churches, civic organizations, and nonprofits. KHB is dedicated to creating a beautiful and sustainable Hutto Community through litter prevention, recycling education, and beautification projects. A clean community equals a safer community that encourages quality of life and economic development.
