BRING IT TO THE 2020 HUTTO JUNK ROUND UP!!

The 2020 Hutto Junk Round Up, hosted by Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation, is a

drive-thru/drop-off event and is free for all citizens within the Hutto ISD boundary. 

EVENT DETAILS

When: Saturday, October 10th, 2020 

Gates open at 8 AM. Gates close at 11 AM or until full so get there early!  *Must be in line by 10:45 AM to participate.

 

Where: East Williamson County Higher Education Center,  1600 Innovation Blvd.  Hutto.

Line entrance is located on Innovation Boulevard. Look for the signs!

PLEASE NOTE!!

Keep Hutto Beautiful would love to take all the junk in Hutto but we're a small nonprofit and as this is a free event, we have to limit what we can accept. Check out the local resources section below for alternate recycling & disposal locations. Thank you for your understanding & support!

  • No commercial disposal. 

  • One (1) trailer visit per resident allowed.

  • All brush needs to be cut (5 ft. max) & bundled & be able to be carried by (1) person.

  • All leaves must be bagged.

  • Free, on-site shredding limit of (3) banker boxes or (4) grocery bags per resident – any additional paper can be recycled.

  • Free, on-site shredding will be provided for hard drives, VCR tapes, DVDs & cell phones.

  • Car batteries will NOT be accepted. 

  • Tires of any kind will NOT be accepted. 

  • Tube TV’s will NOT be accepted. For disposal of tube TV’s, click here.

 

STAY SAFE! 

To maintain the health and safety of volunteers and the community participants, all volunteers will be required to wear a mask & practice social distancing. We also encourage all community participants to please wear masks & practice social distancing.

  • Small furniture (tables, non-material chairs, etc.)

  • Collectible Items

  • Jewelry & antique

*Cell phones & computer components will go directly to Goodwill's Computer Works store to be wiped clean.

*Donation slips will be available upon request.

  • Household items (dishes, knick-knacks, etc.)

  • Linens

  • Electronics (radios, TVs, clocks, lamps, etc.) (*No tube TVs)

  • Toys & children’s items

  • Computers & components (Monitors, laptops, desktops, cords, mice, keyboards)

WAIT, WHAT ABOUT THE GREAT HUTTO CLEANUP?
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual Great Hutto Cleanup, the community-wide clean up event, was cancelled for 2020. The Keep Hutto Beautiful organization is hosting this amended event to provide the community of Hutto with an opportunity to safely and responsibly dispose of unwanted items. We look forward to the 2021 Great Hutto Cleanup! 

LOCAL RECYCLING & WASTE RESOURCES

HAZARDOUS WASTE

No hazardous waste will be accepted at the 2020 Hutto Junk Round Up. Williamson County and Waste Management host two Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days each year – the next event is November 20, 2020. Click here for the event flyer.

*Household waste is NOT accepted at the Hutto Recycling Center.

HUTTO RECYCLING CENTER

The Hutto Recycling Center is available for Williamson County residential customers only (no commercial customers) and is located next to the Williamson County Landfill on F.M. 1660 North. There is no fee to use the recycling center. Please note that many items are accepted free of charge, however a few items are accepted for a fee (refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners). There is also a limit on paint drop-offs. For a full list of accepted and not accepted items, item sorting & containment, & information on item fees & restrictions, please visit their website.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY LANDFILL

For information on the Williamson County Landfill, click here. Landfill disposal fees depend on the size of the load and include an additional, state-required Texas Commission on Environmental Quality fee which varies based on the size of the load.
